WHO WE ARE

Rowe Park Swimming Pool, situated within the Rowe Park Sports Centre in Yaba, Lagos, is a premier aquatic facility that has recently undergone significant renovations. In February 2025, the Lagos State Sports Trust Fund (LSSTF) officially handed over the newly reconstructed Olympic-size swimming pool, which includes a 250-seater spectator pavilion and a warm-up pool. This development is part of the Lagos State Government’s commitment to enhancing sports infrastructure and promoting healthy lifestyles among its residents. 

Key Features

• Olympic-Size Pool: The main pool meets international standards, making it suitable for both professional competitions and public use.

• Warm-Up Pool: An adjacent pool designed for training and practice sessions.

• Spectator Pavilion: A 250-seat capacity area for audiences to watch events comfortably.

• Additional Sports Facilities: The sports centre also boasts two tennis courts, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a handball court, all of which have been refurbished. 

Community Impact

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the upgraded facilities are not just about sports but also about creating opportunities, promoting healthy lifestyles, and increasing the state’s medal tally in future competitive events. The initiative aims to develop grassroots sports and provide a training ground for athletes and students across Lagos State.
